Heavy Rain and Wet Roads Expected to Disrupt Monday Morning Commute in Omaha

Traffic reporter Jaret Lansford has cautioned drivers to be prepared for slippery conditions, noting in a traffic blog post that wet roads could result in travel difficulties, hydroplaning, and unexpected delays across the metro area.

Drivers are advised to exercise extra caution, reduce their speed, and anticipate slower travel times along with possible road issues throughout the morning rush.

The Monday morning commute follows a night of storms that triggered several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings to the west of the metro and a Flash Flood Warning to the south, before those systems moved out of the affected areas.

Commuters are encouraged to leave extra time for their journeys and to monitor real-time traffic and radar conditions ahead of and during their trips.
